Countries across the world are suffering a major\npublic health threat due to Novel\nCoronavirus (COVID-19)<\/a>. <\/strong>The scientific community deliberately\nneeds to take active measures to respond to the life-threatening challenges of\nthe pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deepest concern that pertains to the COVID-19\npandemic is insufficient knowledge. Until now, no effective cure or vaccine has\nbeen developed. However, active and rigorous research\n& development in pharma industry<\/a><\/strong> is being conducted to combat the\nserious condition the world is suffering from. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pharmaceutical industries across the world have\nsped up their efforts and developed the understanding of the virus strain.\nMedicines suspected to treat coronavirus have been put into large scale\nproduction and clinical trials are being conducted around the globe. Various\nvaccines claiming to be a cure for the virus are under development or being\ntested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pharma industry is operating under the intense\npressure of restrictions and expectations for fighting\nserious viral infections<\/a><\/strong> which have affected billions of lives\nglobally. Pharma industry globally has responded with around 400 clinical research\ntrials being registered. 25 vaccine trials and 130 antiviral studies are being\nconducted to develop a cure or vaccine for the virus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several pharma manufacturing\ncompanies in India<\/a> <\/strong>have reviewed their portfolios to detect whether any\nresearch could be of help in this situation. Bringing new medicines to the\npatients can take years. However, this pandemic stands in the need to have a\ncure at the earliest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To aid the accelerated development or medicines and\ncure, regulatory authorities have granted measures. Various drug analyses are\nbeing carried on since the outset of the pandemic to search for potentially\nuseful ones to fight against the virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pharmaceutical companies have swiftly\ncollaborated and involved in fast-track research\nand development<\/a> of new vaccines or medicines. Recently, AbbVie announced\nthat it is partnering with global authorities to ascertain the effectiveness of\nHIV drugs and a potential cure for Coronavirus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The research and development teams of AstraZeneca\nhave been endlessly working towards the clinical trial evaluation to identify\nthe monoclonal antibodies. Moreover, GSK has also entered into research efforts\nthrough new collaborative efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johnsons and Johnsons declared their selection of\nvaccine candidates from its constructs. They have been working on it since\nJanuary 2020. Alongside Takeda announced its initiative of a drug development\nto treat coronavirus and Novartis declared about its entering into the new\ncollaborative research efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drastic increase and spread demand a cure soon\notherwise the world will have to face severe consequences.
